Founded in 2007, our client is a leader in the Greek market, specializing in Customer Relationship Management services. The company offers high-quality services across various sectors, including telecommunications, banking, IT, FMCG, energy, and retail. Over the years, they built a reputation for excellence and innovation, becoming a trusted partner for many prominent clients. With the assistance of Searchlight, they developed and implemented a transformative Employee Value Proposition (EVP). The goal was to strengthen their Employer Brand and enhance the overall Employee experience, addressing critical challenges and fostering a positive work environment.
Our client encountered several challenges that affected its growth and operational stability. The company dealt with high employee turnover rates, which created some instability and affected productivity. Additionally, low employee engagement and satisfaction were noticeable issues, further impacted by the absence of a strong Employer Brand. These challenges were not only influencing the morale of the workforce but also the company’s ability to attract and retain talent in a competitive market.
“To win the marketplace, you must first win the workplace.”
-Douglas Conant
To address these challenges, they embarked on a strategic initiative to develop a comprehensive EVP. The project aimed to realign the company’s values, mission, and culture with the expectations and needs of its employees. Partnering with Searchlight, they ensured a methodical and inclusive approach to this transformation.
The first step involved extensive data collection and analysis. Surveys and focus groups were conducted to gather insights directly from employees. These tools provided a deep understanding of the employees’ perceptions and expectations, revealing both the strengths and weaknesses of the existing EVP. Exit interviews were also analyzed to identify recurring themes and issues that needed addressing.
A crucial aspect of the project was the development of detailed candidate personas. Working sessions were held with teams from HR, Operations, Direct Sales, and Marketing to map out the demographic characteristics, goals, job search behaviors, personality traits, and motivations of potential candidates for various roles. This multi-faceted approach ensured that the new EVP would be relevant and compelling to both current and prospective employees.
The evaluation of the EVP focused on five key pillars: Compensation, Benefits, Career Development, Work Environment, and Culture. By thoroughly assessing these elements, we could identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance the employee experience.
In the design and implementation phases, creativity and innovation were at the forefront. The team used modern psychometric tools and methods to ensure the accuracy and representativeness of the data collected. Through 1:1 interviews and focus groups, employees were actively involved in all stages of the project, ensuring that their voices were heard, and their needs addressed. This participatory approach not only fostered a sense of ownership among employees but also ensured that the final EVP genuinely reflected the company’s values and culture.
We collaboratively developed a new EVP that resonated with employees’ needs and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The process involved designing a new EVP that mirrored the company’s core values and culture, while meeting employee expectations. A comprehensive communication and engagement plan was rolled out to embed the new EVP into the company culture. Training sessions and workshops were conducted to ensure smooth implementation and buy-in from all stakeholders.
The implementation of the new EVP led to significant positive changes within the company. Employee turnover rates decreased by 20%, indicating improved workforce stability and reduced attrition. The new EVP also enhanced our client‘s image in the labor market, attracting high-caliber talent and solidifying its position as a top employer. Internally, the improved EVP fostered better relationships between employees and management, creating a more collaborative and communicative work environment.
The new EVP was well received by employees, who reported a stronger sense of belonging. They appreciated the clear alignment between the company’s values and their own, which fostered greater engagement and motivation. The inclusive process ensured that employees felt valued and heard, which further boosted morale and loyalty.
The strategic investment in EVP had a ripple effect on business performance. Improved employee engagement and satisfaction translated into higher productivity and better service delivery, leading to increased client satisfaction and business growth. The positive changes in the workplace culture also contributed to a more innovative and supportive environment, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
The EVP development exemplifies the strategic use of employer branding to enhance the employee experience and attract top talent. The collaborative effort between our client and Searchlight successfully highlighted and enhanced the company’s work environment, addressing several challenges and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Our client is committed to continuously refining and enhancing its Employer Brand. The company plans to integrate the new EVP into all internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging across digital career pages, job advertisements, and internal presentations. By maintaining a focus on innovation, growth, and mutual support, our client aims to create an environment that nurtures talent and drives success.
